Dr Philip Jonsson
Dr Jonsson is a Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeon with special interests in the fields of Head and Neck Oncology, Orthognathic Surgery and Reconstruction. He believes a team approach plays an integral part in providing optimal patient care. He therefore surrounds himself with a team that shares his vision and passion for the field of Maxillofacial Surgery.
It’s his goal to utilize the latest technology to ensure precise and accurate surgery, and provide patients with the best possible results.

Gretchen Dickson
Gretchen Dickson was born and raised in the beautiful Helderberg. She relocated to Johannesburg in 2008 where she started her career in the HR team at one of the largest radiology practices. After about 13 years she relocated back to Cape Town , where she joined our team.
Gretchen is passionate about making people feel good about themselves. With her vibrant and altruistic approach to life , she strongly believes that the ability to relate to people is critical to outstanding relationships , customer service and patient care.
As an avid camper, she loves spending time with her two beautiful kids, friends and family and is a total outdoor enthusiast.
Reception/ Practice Assistant
Nicole Hearne
Nicole is an outgoing peoples person who loves working with a variety of people. Her aim is to provide a positive first impression and a lasting favourable experience of the practice and its team.
As a qualified Dental Assistant, she has over 10 years of clinical and administrative experience in both the dentistry and medical fields.
Her interests include fitness and athletics, nature hikes and spending time with her loved ones. She’s also a self-proclaimed “foodie”.
General Medical Practitioner
Dr Melanja Jonsson
Melanja grew up on a farm near the small countryside town of Montagu in the Western Cape.
She is a General Medical Practitioner who obtained her MBChB degree in 2008 at the University of Stellenbosch. She started her career by acquiring experience in the fields of emergency medicine; family medicine and psychiatry. Before joining Dr Philip Jonsson’s team, she spent most of her career in the government sector.
Melanja is currently working with her husband as a surgical and administrative assistant. She also forms part of Dr Jonsson’s JONK hair transplant team.
Her biggest passion is her family and she enjoys focusing on balancing work and home.
